Manns Harbor is a small fishing community located along the Croatan Sound and east of the intersection of US 64 and US 264. Manns Harbor is an unincorporated community with a population of less than 1,000 residents. The town centers around the Manns Harbor Marina that is open to recreational and commercial fishermen. Property in Manns Harbor is often more affordable than neighboring towns on the mainland, making it a budget friendly option for those who want to be close enough to work and play on the Outer Banks without the price tag. 

History of Manns Harbor, NC 

Prior to English colonization on Roanoke Island, the Native American village, Dasamongueponke, existed on Mann Harbor. Today, the William B. Umstead Bridge and Virginia Dare Memorial Bridge link Manns Harbor on the mainland to Manteo on Roanoke Island. The community provides an entry point to North Carolina's Outer Banks.
